She got into the South African entertainment industry in 2006 and had been active ever since.

She is known for her awesome portrayal of the role of Phumi in the popular South African drama series, Sokhulu & Partners. She gained national recognition as a presenter for the television show, Our Perfect Wedding.

Phimeza Mdabe was born on the 15th day of March 1987 in Gauteng, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Her mother was a domestic staff and according to her, her biological father, a German denied her after she was born.

She was raised by her mother and her stepfather. She has 3 siblings. Her mother passed on in 2002 when she was in grade 10. Phimeza Mdabe’s ethnicity can be linked to Germans.

Phumeza Mdabe is married to Mnqobi ‘Shota’ Mdabe. They have four children together and their last son Mpilo was diagnosed with cancer of the eyes bilateral retinoblastoma at the young age of two. He had his two eyes removed to stop the spread of cancer.

They both shared via an interview the struggle parents pass through with very sick children. She is very proud of her son and shared recently that he had mastered the use of a bicycle as a blind child.
