Kyriakos Mitsotakis was born on March 4, 1968, in Athens, Greece, to Konstantinos Mitsotakis and Marika Giannoukou. His father, Konstantinos, was Prime Minister of Greece from 1990 to 1993 and a leading figure in the New Democracy party.
His mother, Marika, also played an essential role in the family’s political influence. Mitsotakis has three siblings: Dora Bakoyannis, a notable politician; Alexandra Mitsotakis Gourdain, an activist; and Katerina Mitsotakis.
