Nigerian actor and skit maker Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has broken his silence on the tumultuous challenges that led to the collapse of his marriage to his estranged wife, Muyibat Morufu.

In a raw and emotional tell-all video posted on his YouTube channel at 10:00 AM WAT yesterday, the comedian laid bare a saga of infidelity, betrayal, and personal turmoil that has left fans stunned and sympathetic.

Lande, 35, revealed that his marriage, which began in 2021, unravelled after Muyibat allegedly engaged in extramarital affairs with multiple men, including at least 21 actors and influential figures in the entertainment industry. “In the movie industry alone, without exaggerating, 21 actors have slept with my wife,” he claimed, his voice cracking with emotion.

He recounted a particularly humiliating moment at their child’s naming ceremony, where Muyibat’s “man-friend” danced with her and tapped her backside in front of guests, a memory that still haunts him.

The actor traced the breakdown to a shift in their relationship after his financial fortunes took a hit. Once earning ₦3 million monthly from both Facebook and YouTube, alongside influencer deals, Lande said his income plummeted when his platforms were demonetized, leaving him vulnerable. Muyibat, he alleged, exploited this hardship, denying him intimacy for eight months with excuses of hormonal issues while pursuing other men. “She told me her hormones weren’t working whenever I asked for sex, but they were high for others outside,” he lamented.

Adding to the pain, Lande disclosed that Muyibat controlled his finances—handling his ATM card and savings contributions (ajo)—only to abandon him with their seven-month-old child and just ₦7,000 in January 2025. “While everyone rejoiced in the new year, I was in deep sadness,” he said. He also called out colleague Baba Tee for an unspecified role in the marital crash, raining curses in earlier videos that hinted at deeper industry betrayal.

Lande’s decision to speak out, he explained, was driven by fear for his safety. “If I name these men, I might not make it home—they’re powerful,” he said, suggesting his life could be at risk. “I don’t want people shouting ‘Justice for Lande’ after I’m gone.”

The revelations have painted a picture of a man wrestling with trust and heartbreak, compounded by Muyibat’s departure and her alleged habits, including smoking weed—unknown to him during their four-year union.
