Seulgi is a South Korean singer, songwriter and dancer who was born on 10 February 1994 in Choji-dong, South Korea. She was raised by her parents, known as Mr and Mrs Seul-gi, and has an older brother.

Seulgi attended Ansan Byeolmang Middle School and later went on to study at the School of Performing Arts Seoul. She is of Korean-Japanese ethnicity and practices Christianity as her religion. Standing at 1.61m, Seulgi has become a successful and well-known figure in the entertainment industry.

Seulgi‘s journey to stardom began when she was scouted and successfully auditioned for SM Entertainment in 2006. She officially became a trainee in 2007 and spent seven years honing her skills in singing, dancing, and performance.
