Randeep Hooda was born on August 20, 1976, in Rohtak, Haryana, India. He is the son of Dr. Ranbir Hooda, a surgeon, and Asha Hooda, a social worker.

He has an elder sister, Dr. Anjali Hooda Sangwan, a medical specialist, and a younger brother, Sandeep Hooda, who works as a software engineer in Singapore.

Hooda received his early education at Motilal Nehru School of Sports in Haryana and later attended Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram.

He then moved to Melbourne, Australia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s in business management and human resource management. He hails from a Haryanvi Jat family and follows Hinduism.
