He is also a successful Stand-up comedian specializing in observational comedy, blue comedy, sketch comedy, satire, and musical comedy. 

Adam Sandler once appeared as a cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1995. Due to his role in comedic films, he has won nine Golden Raspberry Awards.

Early Life

Adam Richard Sandler was born into the household of Stanley Sandler (father) and Judith Sandler (mother). He arrived in the world on the 9th Of September 1966. He comes from a Jewish family. He has Russian-Jewish ancestry on both sides of the family tree. 

His father, Stanley Sandler, worked as an electrical engineer, while his mother, Judy Sandler, was a nursery school teacher. He has a brother named Scott Sandler and two sisters: Elizabeth Sandler and Valerie Sandler.

Although he was born in Brooklyn, New York, Adam Sandler spent a greater part of his childhood and teenage years residing in Manchester, New Hampshire. He and his family had moved into the city when he was six. 

Growing up, he was a member of BBYO, a Jewish youth group in New Hampshire.

Adam Sandler‘s comedy career began in 1987 when he secured a spot on The Cosby Show. He was cast to play the role of Theo Huxtable‘s friend, Smitty. In 1990, he was hired as a writer for Saturday Night Live (SNL), and by 1991, he became a regular face on the show. He stayed with the show till 1995 when the producers fired him. In a twist of fate, he returned to serve as the show’s host in 2019.
