Following his graduation, Cao embarked on a career as a flight attendant with Singapore Airlines, dedicating several years of his life to this profession.

Terence Cao, 57, allegedly had an affair with a Shanghainese lady in 2010, according to local media in November 2012. The mother had her child in China and traveled to Singapore to find him. A DNA test revealed that Cao is the biological father of the then-20-month-old girl.

Despite not being married, Terence Cao has a daughter, Shi En, and is rumored to be dating Dawn Yeoh.

Terence Cao faced drunk driving charges after failing a breathalyzer test in 2005. According to reports, he caused a disturbance at the hospital and refused to provide a blood sample. Eventually, he was fined S$4,100, and his driver’s license was suspended for two years starting in 2008.
