Early Life & Education

Vijay Varma, currently 37, was born and raised in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, on March 29. 1986.

He hails from a Rajasthani family, and his family continues to reside in Hyderabad. Growing up, Vijay had two siblings: an elder brother named Manoj and an elder sister named Shobha.

After completing his BCom, Vijay joined a theatre group in Hyderabad, where he honed his acting skills. However, he also took up various odd jobs, including selling mobile plans at Idea Cellular, selling petrol cards at Bharat Petroleum, and working night shifts at a call center.

Despite these temporary ventures, Vijay knew that his true calling was in acting, and he couldn’t settle for a conventional 9-to-5 job.

Inspired by a friend’s mimicry of characters from the film “Vaastav” (1999), Vijay decided to pursue a career in acting.

In June 2023, Indian actress Tamannaah Bhatia confirmed dating Vijay Varma. While working together on the movie Lust Stories 2, ‘ they became a couple.

Career

In 2005, Vijay applied to the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune. Although he was accepted into FTII, his family initially disapproved of his decision.

However, seizing an opportunity while his father was away on a business trip, Vijay packed his bags and left for Pune.

After graduating from FTII, Vijay Varma moved to Mumbai in 2008 to pursue acting opportunities. Initially, he auditioned for television commercials but faced challenges securing significant roles.
