Caroline Celico Reveals Surprising Reason for Divorce from Kaka

Caroline Celico, the former wife of Brazilian football legend Kaka, recently shared candid insights into her marriage and subsequent divorce, shedding light on an unexpected reason for their separation.

In a heartfelt revelation, Celico admitted that she couldn’t shake a feeling of discontent despite Kaka‘s unwavering love and devotion. “Kaka never betrayed me, he treated me well, he gave me a wonderful family, but I was not happy, something was missing,” she confessed to The Sun, pointing out a surprising aspect: “The problem was, he was too perfect for me.”

Their marriage, which began in 2005 and lasted a decade, brought them two beautiful children, a son, Luca Celico Leite, and a daughter, Isabella Celico Leite. Yet, Celico sensed an unspoken void, prompting her to reassess her happiness.

Known for her involvement in Kaka‘s church and later as an Evangelical pastor, Celico redirected her focus in 2010 by founding the charity Horizontal Love. The organization channels aid to Brazilian NGOs, supporting vital areas like food, hygiene, and education.

Following their divorce, Celico embarked on a new chapter, marrying Eduardo Scarpa Julião in 2021 and eagerly anticipating their first child. Meanwhile, Kaka found love anew with Carolina Dias, his partner since 2017.

Reflecting on Kaka‘s illustrious football career, which saw him clinch numerous prestigious titles, including the FIFA World Cup and the Ballon d’Or, Celico acknowledged his achievements but emphasized the complexities of their personal journey.
