Early Life

Berla Mundi was born to the Addardeys in Ghana. She was delivered in a private hospital on the 1st of April 1988.

Her parents gave her her first name, Berlinda. While the nickname, Berla was given to her by her close friends.

She was raised in a Christian household and spent her formative years in Accra.

A very inquisitive and outspoken lady from her childhood, she had always aspired to be a TV presenter. She had great admiration for the hosts of popular shows she watched while growing up and dreamt of becoming like them. Her love for the screen made her pursue a career in Journalism.

Career

In 2010, Berla Mundi competed at the Miss Malaika Beauty Pageant and emerged as the runner-up of the competition.

Thereafter, she joined GHOne TV as one of its staff. After working with the station for some years, she resigned and secured another employment with TV3 Ghana.

In the past decade, she has hosted several TV and reality shows. Notable examples are Moments With Mo, which is aired on DStv; The Late Afternoon Show on GHOne; Glitterati; Rhythmz Live.

At the moment, she is the host of the Covid-19 360 show, the New Day – Morning Show, and The Day show.

Alongside Kwame Sefa Kayi, she hosted the 20th VGMA.

Berla is also a humanitarian. In 2015, she launched an NGO called Berla Mundi Foundation. She is also set up a mentoring and career guidance project for young women in 2018.
