He also appeared as a detective’s assistant in the variety program Crime Scene season 3.

Kim gained widespread recognition for his first leading role in the historical drama Queen: Love and War (2019–20), where he portrayed Lee Kyung, the King of Joseon. This performance was a breakthrough moment in his career, showcasing his talent and versatility as an actor.
