Paweł Tomasz Wasilewski (born 23 July 1982), literally known as Paul Wesley, is an award-winning actor, producer, and director from the United States. He is perhaps best recognized for his work on the hit television drama series The Vampire Diaries.
He enrolled at Rutgers University. He dropped out of school; however, after knowing he could pursue a career in acting, he went into it. In the well-known American TV soap opera Another World, he made his debut appearance on television. Two years later, he made a major TV series appearance in Wolf Lake, which aired on the CBS network.
Paul Wesley has also directed a number of the show’s episodes. Since his screen debut in The Last Run, he has also made appearances in a number of well-known films. He recently appeared in minor roles in the films Mothers and Daughters and The Late Bloomer.

Early Life & Education
Paul Wesley was born on July 23, 1982, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in the United States. Agnieszka Wasilewska and Thomas Wasilewski, his parents, are native Poles. Julia Wasilewski, Monica Wasilewski, and Leah Wasilewski are his other three sisters.
He spent four months of each year in Poland until he was sixteen. He can therefore speak Polish in addition to English. He attended several schools, including Lakewood Prep School and Christian Brothers Academy. He was also heavily immersed in theater studies during this time.
Paul Wesley was given roles in the television soap operas Another World and Guiding Light while still a high school student. In the latter, he portrayed Max Nickerson.
