Early Life and Education

Ravi Kishan Shukla, now 56 years old, was born on July 17, 1969, in Santacruz, Bombay (now Mumbai), Maharashtra, India. His father, Pt. Shyama Narayan Shukla, was a priest and dairy owner, while his mother, Jadavati Devi, was a homemaker.

Ravi was the youngest among his siblings, with two elder brothers, Ram Kishan Shukla and Ramesh Kishan Shukla, both of whom have passed away.

At the age of 10, due to a family dispute in their dairy business, his family relocated to Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. In Jaunpur, Ravi assisted his family with farming on their ancestral land and worked as a newspaper seller to support them financially.

He attended Rizvi College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Mumbai, where he completed his 12th class (Intermediate). During his youth in Jaunpur, Ravi participated in local Ramleela performances, portraying the role of Sita, despite his father’s disapproval of an acting career.

Ravi Kishan married Priti Kishan Shukla on December 10, 1993. The couple has four children: daughters Tanishq Shukla, Ishita Shukla, and Riva Shukla, and son Saksham Kishan. Ravi and Priti met while he was in class 11.

In the 1990s, Ravi was in a relationship with journalist Aparna Soni, with whom he has a daughter, Shinnova Soni, born in 1998. Additionally, Ravi was rumored to have had an affair with actress-turned-politician Nagma, which he later denied in an interview in April 2023.

Career

Ravi Kishan began his acting career with the Bollywood film Pitambar in 1992. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Rameshwar in the 2003 film Tere Naam.

Over the years, he has worked in various film industries, including Hindi, Bhojpuri, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, and Gujarati, appearing in over 350 films. In 2006, he participated in the reality television show Bigg Boss 1, where he was a finalist.

Ravi has also hosted and judged several television shows, such as Bathroom Singer and Sales Ka Baazigar. In 2014, he made his Telugu film debut with Race Gurram and his Kannada debut with Hebbuli in 2017.
