María Eugenia Suárez Riveiro, known as China Suárez, was born on March 9, 1992, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Guillermo Suárez and Marcela Riveiro Mitsumori. She has an older brother named Agustín Suárez.
Suárez attended the Instituto Corazón de María until her third year of secondary school and later completed her secondary education at ESBA Barrio Norte.
She also briefly attended Divino Corazón de Jesús in Palermo for 7th grade. Suárez has mixed ancestry; her father is of Spanish descent, while her mother has Japanese roots. Although her religious beliefs are not publicly known.

China Suárez began her acting career at just eleven years old in the television series Rincón de luz (2003), created by Cris Morena, where she was part of the children’s cast.
In 2004, she had a minor role in Floricienta, playing the younger sister of a supporting character. She also appeared in Amor mío in 2005 and Amo de casa in 2006, gradually building her acting profile.
