Nambitha Mpumlwana (born 12 February 1967) is an award-winning actress. She is also a presenter and producer. 

As an actress, she is best-known for playing the role of Mawande Memela in the popular SABC1 soap opera Generations.

She also does motivational speaking and voice coaching when not doing other professions.

Early Life

Nambitha Mpumlwana was born on 12 February 1967 in Mthatha, the King Sabata Dalindyebo Local Municipality, Eastern Cape. She is currently 57 years old.

She is a niece to the renowned South African Former Member of the National Assembly of South Africa, Loyiso Mpumlwana.

She entered the industry in 1999 and has remained active to date. Many fans were in for a shocker when they knew that the “young-looking actress is in her fifties.”

Defying the laws of aging, Nambitha Mpumlwana has maintained that sweet-sixteen looks and her photos say more. Though she was raised in the Eastern Cape, she relocated to Canada as a teenager of 13 years. She moved to the new location with her mother, who was studying there.

She maintained a closer relationship with her mother and her grandma. According to her, she had to return from Canada in the nineties on purpose to know more about her father and family.
