Nandi Mbatha was born on the 27th of November in 1997. She was born and raised in Kwazulu-Natal province of South Africa.

She was raised by her parents in a moderate home. She started acting from a young age and had a passion for it when watching South African television series alongside her parents.

She was largely inspired by great South African actors Hamilton Dlamini and Meshack Mavuso. They were her role models as a child.

She is popular and achieved widespread national fame for her role as Simi. Her character is a young rural girl that moved over to Jozi to find job opportunities for herself and her mother. This is her major role to date.
