Early Life And Education

Prajakta Mali was born on August 8, 1989, in Barshi, Solapur, Maharashtra, India. She is the daughter of Shweta Mali, while her father, whose name remains undisclosed, is a retired CID officer in Maharashtra. Prajakta has a younger brother, Prasad Mali, and shares a close bond with her family.

She pursued her education in the arts, completing a B.A. and M.A. in Performing Arts with a specialization in Bharatnatyam from Lalit Kala Kendra at Pune University.

Prajakta Mali began her career at 14, winning the Hindi dance show Kya Masti Kya Dhoom 2001 on Star Plus. She made her acting debut with an uncredited role in Shah Rukh Khan’s Swades (2004) and appeared in a small role in Gandhi, My Father.

In 2008, she debuted in Marathi cinema as a child actress in Taandala – Ek Mukhavta, playing the young version of Asawari Joshi’s character. Her television debut came with Firuni Navi Janmen Mi, followed by a lead role in Suvasini (2011), where she played a family-centered young woman.
