Stephanie Sigman Conde was born on February 28, 1987, in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico, to Esthela Conde and Sanford Lee Sigman, an American baseball scout for the New York Yankees.
She has two siblings, Salvador Sigman and Kenneth Sigman, the latter of whom is a professional baseball player. Sigman began her artistic education at the CEFAT School of Acting in Mexico City at the age of 18. She then spent time at the University of Sonora, focusing on her academic studies before transitioning into modelling and acting.
Sigman is of mixed ethnicity. Her father has Ashkenazi Jewish and Italian heritage, while her mother is Mexican, with Spanish and Indigenous roots. Though her religious beliefs are not publicly known.

Stephanie Sigman began her career in Mexican television before making her film debut in Rio de Oro. Her breakthrough came in 2011 when she starred as Laura Guerrero in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film selected as Mexico’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.
