Veronica Merrell was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to parents Paul and Wendy Merrell. Alongside her sister Vanessa Merrell, she always had a passion for the entertainment industry. However, they soon realized Missouri only offered a few opportunities to pursue their dreams.

In 2008, they landed their first commercial for Build-A-Bear, and the following year, they uploaded their first video on YouTube.

To give their daughters better chances of success, their father, Paul, who also worked as their producer, moved the entire family to Los Angeles, California. Their talent caught the attention of the Disney Channel, leading to a short-term deal for creating shorts, which surprisingly gained a significant following.
