Anthony Kiedis was born on November 1, 1962, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. He is the son of Margaret “Peggy” Noble and struggling actor John Michael Kiedis, known professionally as Blackie Dammett.

When Kiedis was three years old, his parents divorced, and his mother in Grand Rapids raised him. His mother remarried and had two more children, making Kiedis one of three siblings alongside James Kiedis, Julie Noble, and Jenny Noble.

This lineup recorded the band’s fourth album, “Mother’s Milk,” released in 1989. It received a more positive commercial reception, peaking at number 52 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers reached new heights of critical and commercial success with the release of their fifth album, “Blood Sugar Sex Magik,” in 1991. The album was met with overwhelming praise from critics.
