Jang Won-young was born on August 31, 2004, in Ichon-dong, Seoul, South Korea. She is the daughter of Jang Wal Seung, who operates a Chinese restaurant, while her mother’s name remains unknown. She has an older sister, Jang Da-ah, who is also an actress.
Jang completed her early education at Seoul Shinyongsan Elementary School and Yonggang Middle School.
