Kwame Ametepee Tsikata (born November 20, 1982), the lyrical maestro from Ghana, more commonly known as M.anifest, is a celebrated musician, rapper, and record producer. He earned himself the prestigious Best Rapper and Hip-Hop Song of the Year at the illustrious 2017 Ghana Music Awards.

Early Life & Education
M.anifest, born on November 20th, 1982, in Accra, Ghana, hails from a noble lineage. His parents, Tsatsu Tsikata and Rev. Dr. Nana Nketia, both expert in their own right, are Ghanaian lawyers and professors and lawyers and preachers, respectively. His maternal grandfather, the illustrious Joseph Hanson Kwabena Nketia, was an ethnomusicologist, professor, and composer.
In 2001, M.anifest immigrated to the United States and attended Macalester College in Minneapolis-St. Paul. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and graduated in 2005. He completed high school at SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College in Tema, serving as the entertainment prefect under the moniker Amet Tsikata.
M.anifest‘s talents have led him to participate in artist residencies, provide lectures at St. Lawrence University and the University of Ghana, and deliver talks at prestigious institutions like Hamline University, Macalester College, the Penumbra Theater’s Summer Arts Institute, and Ashesi University.

Career
M.anifest, the Ghanaian musician, learned the ropes of independent music-making while residing in the Twin Cities. His vocal talents were utilized for a Pepsi jingle that received national airplay on US radio. This gave him the resources to produce and launch his debut solo album, Manifestations, in 2007.
The City Pages, a popular publication, crowned him Songwriter of the Year for his first record, while the Star Tribune ranked it as one of the year’s five best albums. In 2009, M.anifest curated The Birds and the Beats, a complimentary album, to raise awareness and funds for the activities of Young Entrepreneurs Africa, a non-profit organization.
In 2010, M.anifest collaborated with Africa Express and toured France and Spain with the group. Damon Albarn, the co-founder of Africa Express, took notice of his exceptional talent and requested him to collaborate on Rocket Juice & the Moon the following year. He was among the Africa Express train’s passengers on its voyage to the United Kingdom in September 2012. He spoke to The Huffington Post about his experiences.
In 2011, M.anifest released his sophomore album, Immigrant Chronicles: Coming to America, which featured the popular tracks Suffer, Asa, and Blue (Chale What Dey Happen). The album marked the end of his decade-long stay in the United States and the start of his return to Ghana.
He made significant strides in Africa in 2012, appearing on the Big Brother Africa stage as well as at the Channel O Music Video Awards in South Africa. His Makaa Maka music video was nominated for Most Gifted Hip-Hop Video at the 2012 Channel O Music Awards and won Best Hip-Hop Video at the locally-held 4Syte Music Video Awards.
In addition, M.anifest was involved in developing and co-writing an independent mini-hip-hop opera for Channel O. He also presented a piece highlighting the history of Ghanaian music at the first-ever Ghana Music Week. He co-founded Giant Steps, an interactive conference for creative entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs in business, and he was also included in Justin Schell‘s feature-length documentary, We Rock Long Distance.
