MorMor, a Toronto-based Canadian indie pop musician, is Seth Nyquist’s stage name. He was born in 1992 and spent time in foster care before being adopted by a Swedish family. “MorMor,” which means “grandmother” in Swedish, was inspired by his grandmother.

Nyquist was a multidimensional musician who excelled in the school choir and as a trumpet player in a band. Nyquist first studied sociology at Ryerson University in Toronto despite his musical interest.
