Olha Yuriivna Polyakova was born on January 17, 1979, in Vinnytsia, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. She is the daughter of Svitlana Polyakova, a pediatrician who teaches at a diplomatic academy, and Hennadii Polyakova, a musician. During her mother’s medical studies, Polyakova was primarily raised by her maternal grandmother. Information about her having any siblings is not publicly known.

Polyakova pursued an extensive education in music. After completing secondary school, she earned a degree in piano and graduated with honors from the Vinnytsia School of Culture and Arts in choral conducting.
