She’s one of the UK acts who also experiments with Afrobeats sound.

Rebecca Garton is of mixed race. She has both British and African ancestry. Her father is from the United Kingdom while her mother is from Ghana.
She was born in the city of Accra in 1993. When she turned a week old, her family emigrated to the neighboring country, Nigeria, and took up residence in the city of Lagos.
She comes from a family with an intense interest in music. Her elder sister is Lola Rae, one of the leading female Afrobeats artists. Her father, Mr. Garton was a fan of good music and spent his free time composing songs. In 2015, Krept and Konan requested that Rebecca Garton collaborates with them on the album, The Long Way. She was featured on the following tracks; I don’t Know, Wait Up For Me, and Fell Apart/Lucky Ones. She also performed with August Alsina at the O2 concert.
Her official debut single, Don’t was released on the 3rd Of February 2020.
Her debut EP, Take Me Home was dropped in 2020. She has been working on the EP since 2016. The EP is a five-track project. The songs on the EP have over one million streams.
She appeared on the show, Made In UK, in February 2021. She has also been interviewed by Notion, Amazon Music UK, and Amazon Fashioneu. Her songs have been played on BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio1 and they are on streaming platforms like Spotify UK, Apple Music, Amazon Music UK, and Deezer.
A hardworking musician, Rebecca Garton has collaborated with artists such as Fireboy DML, Jeremih, Mae Muller, Alana Mariaxo, Tia Carys, and Louis Reiws.
