Kim Yu-jin was born in Daejeon, South Korea on April 9, 1988. She is the daughter of Kim Sung-kap, a retired professional baseball player and former head coach of the Nexen Heroes and SK Wyverns. While details about her mother remain unknown, Uee has an older sister named Kim Yu-na.
