Known professionally as Winnie Nwagi, she is the brain behind the hit single, Musawo.

Early Life
Winnie Nwagi is a beautiful African lady who comes from Uganda.
She was born to the family of Mr. Henry Kabiito and Mrs. Sarah Namuddu in 1989. She came into the world on the 20th of July.
She has only one sibling, an elder brother named Bob Lwalanda. Her father is a businessman. She lost her mother at a young age. She was only in Primary Four at that time.
She grew up in Namasuba, one of the commercial towns in Kampala. As a youngster, she aspired to be a TV news anchor and had a great admiration for UTV’s presenter, Bbale Francis.
Education
Winnie Nwagi completed her elementary school education at St. Agnes Nagglama Primary School.
She attended East High School and Migaddee College for her secondary school education.
She was unable to further her education because she became pregnant in her final year in high school. And her father refused to support her by paying her tuition.
Career
Winnie Nwagi had brief stints at MTN and Good Coffee Africa. She worked in the sales department at the latter organization.
In 2014, she participated in the Coca-Cola Next Rated Competition and emerged the second runner-up of the competition. Due to her success at the music reality show, she caught the attention of record label owner, Benin Mugumbya. He decided to sign her to Swangz Avenue.
In 2016, she dropped her first single, Embela. Months later Winnie Nwagi achieved a major breakthrough when she released Musawo. The single was a major hit and trended in major radio and TV stations. The single was produced by big-time music producer, Dan Ku Mapeesa.
She has added to her success by releasing more hit songs such as Embeera, Katono Katono, Gwenoonya, Kyowulila, and Amaaso.
As one of Uganda’s leading artists, she has clinched many ambassadorship deals. Notable one are Startimes, Sports Club Villa, Jogoo Limited, and Crwon Beverage Limited.
