Early Life
Zonke was born on the 11th day of October 1979 in KwaZakhele, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
She was raised in Port Elizabeth and moved to Johannesburg later on. Her father, Vuyisile Dikana, and stepmother Anneline Malebo were musicians.
Her father was the lead drummer for the musical band called Black Slave and Flamingo. Her stepmom sang for the band called Joy.
Her stepmother and father were very instrumental in her career choice and path.
Education
Zonke Dikana completed her primary and secondary school education in South Africa.
She graduated from Masiphatisani High School in Motherwell.
She graduated with a degree in human resource management in 1997 from the University of the Free State.
Career
Zonke Dikana started as a singer in the early years of her career. She is a veteran and has been in the field of music since 1998.
She was greatly helped by her stepmother, Anneline Malebo who introduced her to several singers such as Ringo, Joe Nina, and Deborah Fraser she worked with as a singer or songwriter.
She became famous for writing the lyrics of the song Africa, My Motherland for the band Jazzkantine currently known as Culture Clan; consisting of Zonke, Mandla, and Mzo. They released an album titled Africa in Germany in the year 2003.
Zonke Dikana‘s worked with Upper Street Records, Kalawa Jazmee Records, and TMP Records. She released one album with each record label;

She performed alongside Lionel Ritchie in 2016 even he came to South Africa for a musical tour.
