Dude Perfect (born 16 March 2009) is a renowned Texas-based American sports and comedy group which consists of five males members: Tyler Toney, Cory Cotton and Coby Cotton twins, Garrett Hilbert, and Cody Jones; all of them are former Texas A&M University alumni. 

Their YouTube channel has a whopping over 57 million subscribers, making it one of the most-subscribed sports channels on YouTube. Dude Perfect operates different YouTube channels, and all of them are successful.   

Dude Perfect‘s content comprises primarily of videos displaying various trick shots, stereotypes, and stunts. They also often publish films of battles in which individual members compete against one another in a friendly game or contest that incorporates several sports and a unique set of rules. 

Dude Perfect also created the show Overtime, which features a variety of segments hosted by them.

Early Life

A video of the group Dude Perfect doing trick shots at Tyler Toney’s ranch was uploaded on YouTube on April 9, 2009. The video garnered over 200k views in less than a week. Shortly later, the group released their second video, which was shot at Christian summer camp Sky Ranch.

The video has earned over 18 million views, and Dude Perfect has vowed to sponsor a child through Compassion International for every 100,000 views. Dude Perfect also got an endorsement deal from ESPN after the video allegedly went viral.

Dude Perfect introduced the Panda mascot in 2010. The Panda Mascot quickly became a popular symbol when it disparaged opposing players at Texas A&M basketball games.

The group Dude Perfect received numerous professional sponsorships and invitations, starting with former Sacramento Kings star Tyreke Evans to promote Tyreke Evans as a Rookie of the Year contender. Dude Perfect was also featured on Rob Dyrdek‘s Fantasy Factory.

Dude Perfect released Dude Perfect, a free mobile game for iOS and Android, in 2011. After that, they also launched Dude Perfect 2 as well as Endless Ducker, and That’s Lit. Following the launch of the mobile apps, Cory Cotton wrote Go Big, a nationally published book in which he discussed the lessons acquired by the group while developing a business in a world dominated by social media.

The group received approval for a television series called The Dude Perfect Show on CMT in September 2015, which premiered in the first quarter of 2016. The show’s second season was aired on Nickelodeon.

Dude Perfect embarked on their first-ever live tour in 2019. The band also announced their second live tour in 2020, which was eventually postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and rescheduled for 2021. 

World Records

After shooting from the third deck of Kyle Field in 2009, the group Dude Perfect set the Guinness World Record for the longest basketball shot. They broke the record in October 2010 with a cross-tower shot from a height of 66 meters (216 feet), with the basket 45 meters (150 feet) out from the tower’s base. 

Dude Perfect unofficially beat their record again in March 2011 with a shot from the top of Reliant Stadium that lasted 5.3 seconds in the air.
