Susan Calman, a well-known media personality, was born on November 6, 1974, in Glasgow, Scotland. She is the daughter of Ann Wilkie, a former deputy headteacher at a primary school, and Sir Kenneth Calman, a renowned oncologist. 

Her father, Kenneth Calman, also served as the chancellor of the University of Glasgow and held esteemed roles such as chief medical officer for Scotland, England, and Wales. 

While Susan Calman may have grown up with siblings, their identities have not been disclosed. In recognition of her achievements, the University of Glasgow awarded her an honorary degree in 2018.

Career

Susan Calman‘s comedy career has been marked by numerous accolades and memorable performances. She made waves as a semi-finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2005 and earned recognition as a Funny Women finalist in 2006. Calman‘s talent was further highlighted in Channel 4’s sketch show Blowout, which clinched a Scottish BAFTA in 2007. Her comedic prowess earned her the Real Radio Variety Award for Best New Scottish Comedian in 2009.

From 2011 to 2013, Calman showcased her acting chops in the comedy Fresh Meat, portraying therapist Nadine.
