Method Man, whose real name is Clifford Smith, Jr., was born on March 2, 1971. He is a well-known American rapper, record producer, and actor.

Method Man is part of the East Coast hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan and makes up one-half of the hip-hop duo Method Man & Redman.

His stage name was inspired by the 1979 film “Method Man”.
