Daniel Kojo Obinim, popularly known as Angel Obinim, was born on August 29, 1977, in Abuakwa Sepaase, Ghana, to parents Agya Obinim and Mama Abena.

He is 47 years old. The fifth of six children, he was raised in a Christian household and belongs to the Akan ethnic group, one of the largest ethnic groups in Ghana.

He completed his primary and Junior High School education in his hometown. Due to financial constraints, he could not pursue further formal education beyond Junior High School.
