Early Life

BBNaija Sheggz was birthed in London, United Kingdom on the 13th of November, 1996. He was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Olusemo. His government name is Segun Daniel Olusemo.

Sheggz is a Yoruba man. Both of his parents are from the Yoruba ethnic group. He holds Nigerian and British citizenship. 

Shortly after Sheggz‘s birth, his family moved back to Nigeria and took up residence in Ikoyi, Lagos. He spent his childhood and early teens living in Lagos City. During the holidays, he and his family often traveled to the United Kingdom to vacation.

When he entered his late teens, BBNaija Sheggz migrated to England for academic purposes. He has been living in the country for nearly a decade and visits Nigeria from time to time.

Career

BBNaija Sheggz developed a passion for sports since his elementary school days. In high school, he focused on football and spent extra hours after school and on weekends training in the sport. He continued to play football as an undergraduate. He played for the school’s team and a local team in the city. 

After graduating from university, Sheggz decided to become a professional football player. He was recruited into a top club that played in one of England’s Divisions. He has been playing active professional football for years now. BBNaija Sheggz has made a name for himself at his club for scoring goals and being a great player. However, he decided to put a pause on his football career after sustaining an injury.  

In order not to stay idle, he decided to delve into acting. A talented actor, he had participated in school plays in his high school and university days. He auditioned for film roles in Nigeria and the UK. In 2022, he was cast in a film by ace filmmaker Tola Odunsi. 

When the auditions for the 7th Season of the Big Brother Naija Show were held in May 2022, BBNaija Sheggz participated. He impressed the panel of judges at the different selection stages and was among the lucky 26 contestants who made it into the Big Brother House. 

At the show’s opening ceremony, he was unveiled to millions of Nigerians and Africans on the 23rd of July 2022. Sheggz is currently one of the most popular reality TV stars on the African continent.
