Her father, Stein Erik, was a professional footballer who played as a defender, while her mother, Gerd, was an accomplished handball player who represented Norway.
She grew up alongside two siblings: an older sister, Andrine Hegerberg, a professional footballer, and a younger brother, Silas Hegerberg.

Ada Hegerberg began her professional football career at Kolbotn, IL, debuting in 2010. At 16, she became the youngest player to score a hat-trick in Norway’s Toppserien and was named the league’s Young Player of the Year.
