Ryan Joseph Giggs OBE was born on November 29, 1973, in St. David’s Hospital in Cardiff, United Kingdom. He is the son of Danny Wilson, a rugby union player for Cardiff RFC, and Lynne Giggs (now Lynne Johnson).

Giggs has a younger brother, Rhodri Giggs, who is a former manager of EFL League Two club Salford City. From a young age, Giggs was primarily focused on his athletic career, joining Manchester United’s youth academy and becoming a professional footballer.
