Ellis Deeney is also a footballer, having played for teams like Aston Villa and Chelmsley Town. At the age of 10, Deeney and his mother were assaulted by his father, leading to visits from social services. The couple split when Deeney was 11, with his mother taking custody of their children.

Troy Deeney is an English professional footballer who spent most of his career with Watford FC. At age 15, he was invited to participate in a four-day trial with Aston Villa’s academy, but he missed the first three days and was not offered a contract.
After leaving school in 2004, he began training as a bricklayer before joining non-league club Chelmsley Town, where he was spotted by Walsall’s head of youth, Mick Halsall.
Deeney debuted for Chelmsley Town in October 2004, scoring seven goals in an 11-4 win while playing drunk. This caught Halsall’s attention, and Deeney subsequently signed for Walsall.
