Priya Dutt was born on August 28, 1966, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

She is the daughter of renowned actor and politician Sunil Dutt and legendary actress Nargis Dutt. She has two siblings, including Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and Namrata Dutt.
