Alice Louise Walton was born on October 7, 1949, in Newport, Arkansas, United States, as the only daughter of Sam Walton, the founder of Walmart, and Helen Walton.

She has three brothers: Jim C. Walton, S. Robson Walton, and John T. Walton. Walton graduated from Bentonville High School in 1966 before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Of Caucasian descent, she practices Christianity.

Career

Alice Walton began her career in the financial sector as an equity analyst and money manager for First Commerce Corporation. She then headed investment activities at Arvest Bank Group and served as a broker for EF Hutton.
