Anthony Marshon Davis Jr. (March 11, 1993 ) is an NBA basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers from the United States. He has contributed a lot to the NBA picks while playing for his team.

He’s an alumnus of Perspective Charter School. He was the top student in his 2011 high school graduating class, and numerous schools competed for his enrollment. He played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats and contributed to their National Championship victory.

He plays both forward and center positions. Davis has been chosen to four All-NBA First Teams and four NBA All-Defensive Teams during his NBA career. In 2020, he won an NBA championship during his first season with the Lakers. 

He was selected for the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. Davis is recognized as one of the greatest power forwards in NBA history.

The NBA Career

Due to his performance in the March Madness Tournament, the New Orleans Pelicans selected him with the first overall pick. He was chosen to the All-NBA First Team for his outstanding performance in his rookie year.

During his time with the Pelicans, he became one of the league’s top big men and all-around players. He won numerous individual honors along the way, but the team’s poor front-office decisions prevented them from advancing past the second round of the playoffs.

Davis requested a trade from the Pelicans despite not being a free agent until 2020. He was fined $50,000 for making the request public. Before he could play again, he had to await a trade in February.

On July 6, 2019, the trade between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers was finalized. Everyone is still astounded by Anthony’s Lakers performance.

After requesting a trade, he was transferred to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he would play with LeBron James. They collaborated effectively to assist the Lakers in winning their first title since 2010.



Davis scored 42 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in 2020. On August 8, the Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz 116-108 to take the lead in the Western Conference finals. In the same year that he won the NBA title, he also finished second in the voting for NBA Defensive Player of the Year.
