Brent Robert Barry was born on December 31, 1971, in Nassau County, New York, United States. He is the son of Basketball Hall of Famer Rick Barry and his first wife, Pam Hale. He grew up alongside four siblings: Jon Barry, Canyon Barry, Drew Barry, Scooter Barry, and Shannon Barry.
Barry attended De La Salle High School in Concord, California, before continuing his education at Oregon State University. He has Irish, English, and French ancestry on his father’s side. Raised Catholic, he later converted to Methodism.

Career
Brent Barry’s professional basketball journey began when the Denver Nuggets selected him in the first round of the 1995 NBA Draft. However, he was immediately traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, where he spent the first three seasons of his career.
During his time with the Clippers, Barry showcased his versatility, excelling as a three-point shooter and playmaker. In his rookie season, he set a new record for most three-pointers made by a rookie with 123, highlighting his ability to impact the game beyond the arc.
