Sandra Perković was born on June 21, 1990, in Zagreb, SR Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia. She is the daughter of Damir and Vesna Perković.

Her parents divorced when she was five years old, after which Sandra chose to live with her mother and her brother, Dino Perković, with whom she shares a close bond.

Perković attended Birotehnika in Zagreb for her secondary education.
