Cubana Chiefpriest Accuses Burna Boy of Intimidation, Raises Safety Concerns

Nigerian socialite and businessman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has accused Grammy-winning musician Burna Boy (Damini Ogulu) of intimidation and making veiled threats against him and his family.

Cubana Chiefpriest took to social media to share his concerns, claiming that Burna Boy reposted a video of someone driving past his Ikoyi, Lagos neighbourhood. He alleged that the act was a calculated attempt to send a threatening message, implying surveillance and potential harm. “Does Burna want to shoot me or abduct my family?” he questioned in his post, labelling the move as “childish” and issuing a firm warning: “Nothing should happen to my family.”

This accusation comes amidst a simmering feud between the two prominent figures. The tension reportedly began with Burna Boy using a derogatory nickname for Cubana Chiefpriest, sparking a series of social media exchanges marked by insults and public shaming. The situation now appears to have escalated, with Cubana Chiefpriest expressing fears for his safety and family.

The claims have sparked widespread reactions on social media, with mixed responses from the public. While some users expressed concern and urged the two to resolve their differences peacefully, others treated the situation with humour, sharing memes and commentary on the perceived pettiness of the feud.

Although the Nigerian police have yet to issue an official statement, Cubana Chiefpriest hinted that the authorities are already involved, stating that they are aware of the situation and have received “intel” on the matter. He also expressed his readiness to take further action should any harm come to him or his loved ones.
