Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Magixx, born Alexander Akintunde Adelabu, has finally released his highly anticipated debut album, I Dream in Color.

Dropping at midnight, the 13-track project is now available for streaming worldwide. The Mavin Records artist keeps the spotlight on himself, featuring only one guest appearance—Indigenous rapper Jeriq—highlighting his ability to command the stage alone.

Announcing the album on social media at 00:15 WAT, Magixx wrote, “I DREAM IN COLOR OUT NOW! STREAM AND RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE! THANK YOU FOR LISTENING!” He linked to the album, sending fans into a frenzy.

Among the standout tracks, “Vibration” featuring Jeriq has already emerged as a fan favorite, blending Magixx’s smooth melodies with Jeriq’s gritty rap. The album seamlessly fuses Afrobeats, R&B, and soul, exploring themes of resilience, love, and ambition across tracks like “Consistency,” “Ori Mi,” “Alcohol,” “Okay,” and “Voices.”

Born on September 27, 1999, in Lagos, Magixx was immersed in music from an early age—his father was a DJ, and his mother sang in a church choir. Although he pursued mass communication at the University of Lagos, music ultimately became his true calling.

A viral cover in 2020 caught the attention of Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy, leading to his official signing in 2021. He quickly made waves with his self-titled EP and breakout hits like “Love Don’t Cost a Dime” and “Shaye,” cementing his reputation as a rising Afrobeats star.

The journey to I Dream in Color began with a teaser on February 10, where Magixx announced the album’s release date. He later revealed the tracklist on February 20 in a creative display, heightening anticipation.

Sharing his personal connection to the project, he described it as “more than just music—it’s my heart, my journey, my truth.” One of the most intriguing revelations was the haunting inspiration behind the closing track, linked to a childhood friend’s death threat.
