Man City Fined for Late Kick-offs, But What About the 115 Charges?

The Premier League has fined Manchester City £2.09 million for 22 breaches related to kick-off delays over the past two seasons. However, this fine is minimal compared to the 115 charges the club faces for alleged breaches of the league’s financial rules.

These charges, announced in February 2023, cover a nine-year period from 2009 to 2018. The club is accused of providing inaccurate financial information, failing to disclose full details of payments to managers and players, and not complying with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
