Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has revealed troubling experiences of bullying, threats, and financial manipulation by her former manager, Ezekiel ThankGod, widely known as Eezee Tee.

Chinwo accused Eezee Tee of withholding her royalties for two years and using his influence to harm her reputation. She recounted his hostility toward her collaboration with Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, claiming he even spread false rumors about her son’s paternity through paid bloggers due to his personal disdain for Pastor Bassey and Pastor Jerry Eze of Streams of Joy Church.
She also addressed legal disputes, clarifying that Eezee Tee had taken her to court, contrary to his claims that she initiated legal action. “You bullied me and threatened my life,” Chinwo said. “You took me to court and then told the public I was the one who sued you. What did I do to you?“
The allegations have fueled ongoing debates about contract terms and financial dealings, with Eezee Tee defending himself by asserting he invested heavily in Chinwo’s career, claiming to have paid her over $625,000 in royalties while accusing her of breaching their contract.
