Nollywood actress Sharon Ooja and her husband, Ugo Nwoke, celebrated their union in a traditional Idoma wedding ceremony held in Abuja on June 27, 2024. The couple, who had previously announced their engagement earlier this year, showcased their love and respect for the Idoma culture by donning traditional attire that left onlookers in awe.

Sharon Ooja, known for her roles in popular Nollywood films, looked radiant in a black and red striped dress known as the ‘APA‘ or ‘Edema‘. The dress featured modern fashion elements like a transparent corset adorned with intricate beaded designs. The dress perfectly complemented the traditional Idoma hat and red beads worn by her husband, Ugo Nwoke, who looked dapper in a black bedazzled ‘Senator‘ shirt and matching black pants.

The couple’s attire highlighted their love for each other and their pride in their Idoma heritage. The traditional hand fan with Ugo Nwoke‘s surname inscribed on it added a personal touch to Sharon‘s outfit, symbolizing their union and the joining of their families.
