APC Chooses Dennis Idahosa as Edo Deputy Governorship Candidate

After concerns arose about Oshiomhole‘s preferred candidate, Dennis Idahosa, losing the governorship primary, the party reached a consensus. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, currently a Representative Member, has been nominated as the Deputy Governorship Candidate. He will team up with Senator Monday Okpebholo, who has been chosen as the APC’s gubernatorial candidate for Edo State.
This decision marks a moment of unity within the party, with Oshiomhole now expected to throw his full support behind the APC in the upcoming governorship election set for September 21st, 2024.
During a gathering with APC governorship aspirants and stakeholders in Edo State, National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje officially introduced Dennis Idahosa as the party’s deputy governorship candidate. The announcement was shared through a statement on the party’s official channels, affirming its commitment to its selected candidates.
Former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole extended his congratulations to Senator Monday Okpebholo for emerging as the APC’s gubernatorial candidate. This development comes after Idahosa, Oshiomhole‘s purported choice, lost to Okpebholo in the primary election held on February 22.
The resolution underscores the party’s efforts to promote unity and solidarity ahead of the crucial gubernatorial election in Edo State.
