Emeka Ike’s Son Opens Up: “Why I Dislike My Father”

Michael Ike, the eldest son of renowned actor Emeka Ike, has candidly revealed his strong dislike for his father. The revelation follows Emeka Ike‘s public accusations against his first wife, Suzanne Emma, igniting a heated exchange of allegations between the estranged couple.

Michael Ike is a celebrity child and musician from Nigeria. He is the eldest son of Nigerian actor Emeka Ike and his ex-wife, Suzanne Emma.

Emeka Ike, known for his prolific acting career, claimed to have suffered significant losses, including his school and contact with his children, due to Suzanne‘s actions. Suzanne, in response, accused Emeka of being aggressive and detailed a violent attack that nearly left her paralyzed.

Adding his voice to the family turmoil, Michael Ike opened up during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo. Michael expressed, “When I met my mum, the first thing I said was I really hate my father.” He highlighted his displeasure with Emeka’s public discussions about their private affairs.

Michael confronted his father about privacy, saying, “I told him we must talk. I added that I’m not happy about the way you’re talking about our private affairs. Can you just stop it? And I had to tell him the disrespect he left on the family. I decided that this is not the kind of person I should have respect for.”

In a shocking revelation, Michael disclosed the extent of his father’s harsh words, stating, “The next morning, I got a ten-minute video. It’s not the first time. He said, ‘You’re doing music; you will never prosper. Don Jazzy will never see you. If I see you on the side of the road, I will spit on you.”

Emeka Ike‘s tumultuous marriage to Suzanne Emma faced allegations of battery, ultimately leading to its dissolution by a Lagos Island Customary Court in 2015. Both parties’ public airing of grievances has now involved their son, shedding light on the complexities within the Ike family.
