Ibadan Explosion: Two Lives Lost, 77 Injured in Alleged Bomb Blast

“We have mobilized first responders and all pertinent agencies within Oyo State to conduct thorough search and rescue operations, which will persist through the night,” Governor Makinde affirmed.
The governor announced that the government would cover the medical expenses of all victims, offering temporary accommodations to those whose homes bore the brunt of the explosion. Governor Makinde urged citizens to remain composed, stay clear of the incident site, and promptly seek emergency assistance.
The explosion wreaked havoc on properties, necessitating the dispatch of earth-moving equipment, ambulances, and security personnel. Among the 77 injured victims, all have received treatment and been discharged, while two unfortunate fatalities have been reported. Governor Makinde extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and underscored ongoing initiatives to aid affected residents.
As rescue efforts persisted, the governor commended the unwavering dedication of first responders, security personnel, and medical teams.
