Kathy Griffin Files for Divorce From Randy Bick: A New Chapter Begins

Renowned comedian, author, and actress Kathy Griffin has officially initiated divorce proceedings with her husband, Randy Bick, just before celebrating their fourth anniversary. The couple, who exchanged vows in a private ceremony on January 1, 2020, has decided to part ways after almost four years together.

Griffin, 63, decided to end their marriage on December 22, ushering in a new chapter for the pair, whose relationship has experienced both highs and lows. The comedian reportedly seeks to enforce their prenuptial agreement as an integral aspect of the divorce process.

Their romantic journey began in 2011, initiated by a chance encounter at a food and wine festival. Griffin amusingly reminisced about her initial impressions of Bick, labeling him a “man-whore.” Despite initial reservations, the couple continued their relationship, culminating in a wedding officiated by actress Lily Tomlin on January 1, 2020.

This recent development follows a publicized separation in 2018, during which Griffin announced on Twitter, “After 7 years, Randy and I have decided to part ways. It’s not acrimonious, and I will always adore him.” Despite the challenges, the couple reconciled, with Tomlin highlighting their enduring connection during their wedding.

As reported by TMZ, the divorce filing states that Griffin is not obligated to provide spousal support, and with no children involved, there will be “no issues with child support either.”

Griffin has not commented on the divorce filing despite being a Grammy and Emmy winner. However, a tweet from her Bel Air residence on Friday conveyed her sentiments, stating, “Well…sh*t. This sucks.”

The tour follows Griffin‘s triumphant announcement in June that she is “now cancer-free” after battling lung cancer in 2021.
